A Major Mistake Money Bloggers are Making
January 23rd, 2007 by asianTom
I’ve been visiting a lot of different blogs lately and I have noticed a major mistake bloggers are making, at least the ones trying to make money from their blog. They make it very difficult to post comments on their page.
Now if your goal is to make money from your blog, you will want returning visitors and interaction with your visitors. Many blog owners are closing their comments or requiring approval of comments. I can understand that spam comments can be a major problem but unless you get 500 spam comments a day this is not a good idea.
Blogs are suppose to be personal so interaction should always be encouraged. If someone posts a comment and you post a reply to their comment, this will get your visitor to come back to check the comment. With this said, make your site user friendly and make allow comments. Good Luck.

It’s not about spam comments, it’s mostly about trackbacks. I don’t see why trackbacks are bad for some blogs. StevePavlina.com closes all comment boxes because people trackback alot. I don’t know why he doesn’t like it, it only ranks his blog higher.
Also, thanks for visiting my blog.
You may have a point here. I am not yet receiving some 500 spam comments a day. One thing you also have to consider is the quality of comments you are receiving. Thanks for visiting Turn Your Blog Into Money Making Machine.
