February turned out to be my second biggest income month ever with over $150k in revenues. When I step back and look at how much I made, it’s quite satisfying. My Feb. income is 3x what I would be making working an 8-5 job in the corporate world per year!! It was a tough month but well worth it. Many years with no income is finally paying off. I am in the process of developing some new business ideas and will launch a new one in about two week.
2007 is coming along nicely and I’m on track to make another + million this year. If you break it down by the month, I would have to make $83,333.33 per month, or $20,833.33 per week to do a million a year. Now if we break this down into an hourly wage and use the standard 40 hours per week, my hourly wage would be $520.83. This is quite a step up from my days of making pizza for $4.25.
You might be wondering what I’m doing with my money? I’m a saver because I want retire young and live off my money. I have a good chuck of my money in money market accounts which gives me a nice monthly allowance. I use this money to pay living expenses and save this rest of the money. I will retire once the interest on my money hits $10,000 per month.

You may not know Bob Parsons but he probably touches your life everyday in a way you may not realize. Bob is the founder of godaddy.com, the world’s #1 domain registar. Most likely many of the websites you visit everday are registered at his site. Bob is a self made millionaire and has had many successful businesses. He posted this 16 rules for success and I believe they are rules to live by. Here they are below:
1. Get and stay out of your comfort zone. I believe that not much happens of any significance when we’re in our comfort zone. I hear people say, “But I’m concerned about security.” My response to that is simple: “Security is for cadavers.”
2. Never give up. Almost nothing works the first time it’s attempted. Just because what you’re doing does not seem to be working, doesn’t mean it won’t work. It just means that it might not work the way you’re doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and you wouldn’t have an opportunity.
3. When you’re ready to quit, you’re closer than you think. There’s an old Chinese saying that I just love, and I believe it is so true. It goes like this: “The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed.”
4. With regard to whatever worries you, not only accept the worst thing that could happen, but make it a point to quantify what the worst thing could be. Very seldom will the worst consequence be anywhere near as bad as a cloud of “undefined consequences.” My father would tell me early on, when I was struggling and losing my shirt trying to get Parsons Technology going, “Well, Robert, if it doesn’t work, they can’t eat you.”
5. Focus on what you want to have happen. Remember that old saying, “As you think, so shall you be.”
6. Take things a day at a time. No matter how difficult your situation is, you can get through it if you don’t look too far into the future, and focus on the present moment. You can get through anything one day at a time. Continue Reading »

The Usb flash drive has always been handy, but it wasn’t until recently that it has really taken a new life for me. In the past, I would have to keep full programs on my flash drive if I wanted to use it on the road. This all changed when I came across portable applications. Portable apps are programs that run directly on the usb drive without installing anything on the host computer. It comes with a Windows style start menu and has lots of programs for free. Portable apps can run on any portable drive, so it’s handy to install on external backup drives.
If you have a newer usb drive it may come with U3 technology. U3 is basically the same thing as portable apps but comes preinstalled on the drive and has a few applications that are different from portable apps. I personally like the portable apps better because most of it is open source which encourages more people to write programs.
The applications even has a virus scanner that will protect viruses from the host computer to gettting on your flash drive.

The word boss usually has a very negative connotation that comes with it, and I’m sure we’ve all had our share of bad bosses. It’s very rare to hear someone say positive things about their boss, so when you become a boss or manager it’s important to become that boss everyone loves.
I remember when I was younger when I worked at a pizza shop, and though the work was easy I honestly hated going to work. I had a manager that was just terrible. He never encouraged employees or rewarded us. When employee morale is down the whole business suffers.
My clients are my bosses, and the best ones are the ones that show signs of appreciation for the work I do. This encourages me to go out of my way to do more and to perform better. When I look to successful companies, it is always great CEOs at the helm leading the way. Continue Reading »
